Lakew qualifications

I have been able to find out the following:

Lakew was born in 1939 in Ethiopia. He and his wife Misrak have three

children. They have fostered children at various times. Lakew's educational

background has been predominantly in the field of science in agriculture

and education. He has worked as a school teacher, director and curriculum

expert for the Ethiopian Ministry of Education and Fine Arts and as a

government consultant in agriculture. Lakew has also acted as consultant

for World Vision International and Molsa's adoption section. In 1988 he was

appointed as agent in Ethiopia for Australian adoptions and has acted as

power of

attorney for more than 300 Australian families who have adopted Ethiopian

children since 1989.
