Hi Albert Jaap,

Zie jij wat in deze mail? Albert Jaap , je bent in druk overleg met Justitie. Maar ik heb ook een keer de Haagse Conventie mensen beloofd (William Duncan, Jennifer Degeling) te vertellen welke risico's we tegenkomen in adoptieveld. Zij zijj daar zéér geinteresseerd in.

Misschien weet je het , maar ik hoorde dat Jennifer Degeling van de Haagse Conventie binnenkort naar Ethiopie reist. Ik denk dat het goed is dat wij zelf met haar een afspraak maken. Wat vind je?

Je kunt natuurlijk ook met Henk gaan als je wil.

Well i just had an interesting discussion/ Chat with Herve Boechat from International SOcial service. ( Geneva)

I asked him, whether they have the directive of 2002 which I was searching for. Indeed he has it and sent it now to me J

The usually act as consultant to Unicef in Adoption matters. They did this for years.

Right now, they are finalising their Assesment of the Vietnam Adoption System.

I told him in very brief and just broad lines that I was in Ethiopia and what I found…I did NOT disclose for whom I went and what exactly I found…

Indeed they are planning now a mission to Ethiopia as well.

Of course with Unicef and led by Nigel Cantwell.

They are already slowly preparing it, and have also already the Hague Office on board.

So that´s going to happen.

Of course- they always lack access to CONCRETE cases. I asked him whether it would be possible to form a partnership…

He is open to it…

Somehow we should altogether try this and work TOGETHER on this.

ISS, UNICEF, The Hague Office, Wereldkinderen and ACT.

Usually this missions are funded by Unicef and ISS acts as consultant to Unicef…

Can we make this possible somehow? I m sure it´s gonna be another VERY TOUGH Job,

But it will bring the BEST possible outcome for Ethiopian families and children.

It will bring money in for Wereldkinderen…and staff of wereldkinderen…

Further it will strengthen WK´s international Position and image as an Child Rights Orientated Adoption Expert organisation.
