Subject: Induced labor

The doctor at Leo's nursing home in Calcutta said that at least half of the

women who induce their labor aren't young unmarried girls, they are married

women who often have several other children. The values of their community

say that abortion is murder, and that only an inhuman mother would relinquish

a full-term child. Therefore, having a late "miscarriage" is their only

option, to avoid having another hungry, sick child to care for. I'm sure it

is not an easy decision.
