Hon. Joris Demmink

Mr. Joris Demmink is Secretary-General of the Netherlands’ Ministry of Justice. He has a long

distinguished career within the Netherlands Justice administration and joined the Ministry of Justice in

1982. He was the Director of Police from 1983 to 1988 and Director-General for the Administration of

the Judiciary from 1988 to 1993.

Prior to becoming Secretary General, Mr. Demmink, served for almost ten years as Director-General

for International Affairs and Immigration in the Ministry of Justice.

Mr. Demmink has studied law and has worked as Legal Adviser at the Ministry of Defense.

Mr. Joris Demmink is a Dutch citizen.
