The investigation by the Prosecutor of Savona for the scams around international adoption on the Italy-Kyrgyz lands in a preliminary hearing. The suspects, all accused of criminal association aimed at committing fraud, are managers and representatives of a non-profit organization, the '' Association Heron ", which operated since 1991 and was located in Albenga and branches in other parts of Italy: Azzano San Paolo (province of Bergamo), but also Pisa and Rome. In trouble they were over the then president of Silvia La Scala, 69, one of the non-profit organization co-worker, Troukhan Inna, 47, who was operating from Bergamo, and the two foreign representatives of "Heron" Angelidi Alexander, 52, and Venera Zakirova, 48, both of Kyrgyz nationality (on the docket was also over a fifth person, the vice president of the association Orietta Maini, who has since died, and consequently its position has been removed). The cheated Italian couples would twenty: according to the hypothesis of the investigators, the association's leaders "Heron" he were addressing to Kyrgyzstan with the promise that the process for the adoption would have been easier and faster than other foreign countries, but it has not happened despite the thousands of euro paid.

L’inchiesta della Procura di Savona per le truffe intorno alle adozioni internazionali sull’asse Italia-Kirghizistan approda in udienza preliminare. Toccherà al giudice Francesco Meloni, il prossimo 2 febbraio, decidere sulle richieste di rinvio a giudizio avanzate dal pm Daniela Pischetola alla fine dello scorso febbraio. Gli indagati, tutti accusati di associazione per delinquere finalizzata alla commissione di truffe, sono i responsabili e referenti di una onlus, l’«Associazione Airone», che operava dal 1991 ed aveva sede ad Albenga e filiali anche in altre zone d’Italia: ad Azzano San Paolo (in provincia di Bergamo), ma anche a Pisa e Roma. Nei guai erano finiti l’allora presidente dell’associazione Silvia La Scala, 69 anni, una collaboratrice della onlus, Inna Troukhan, 47 anni, che operava da Bergamo, e i due referenti esteri di «Airone» Alexander Angelidi, di 52 anni, e Venera Zakirova, 48 anni, entrambi di nazionalità kirghisa (sul registro degli indagati era finita anche una quinta persona, il vicepresidente della Onlus Orietta Maini, che nel frattempo è morta e di conseguenza la sua posizione è stata stralciata). Le coppie italiane truffate sarebbero ventuno: secondo l’ipotesi degli inquirenti, i vertici dell’associazione «Airone» le indirizzavano verso il Kirghizistan con la promessa che l’iter per l’adozione sarebbe stato facile e veloce rispetto ad altri paesi stranieri, ma così non accadeva nonostante le migliaia di euro versate.
