Argentina: Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo announce the discovery of the grandson 130

The human rights organization is responsible for restoring the identity of those babies stolen and handed over to other families during the last military dictatorship.

Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, a historic Argentine human rights group that restores the original identities of babies stolen by the last military dictatorship (1976-1983), reported Monday June 10 that found the grandchild number 130. "We happily announce a new restitution of identity," says the statement issued by the organization of white handkerchiefs, a symbol that represents the struggle of women who are still looking for their relatives detained during the times of State terrorism. In effect, they are the children of persons abducted during the de facto government who were born in conditions of detention, and then handed over by the military to other adoptive families. Likewise, human rights organizations estimate that in this historical period, 30,000 individuals disappeared for political reasons.

For now, the name of this person has not yet been released, but it is known that "he lives outside the Federal Capital", that is, the City of Buenos Aires. Also, we expect to know new details about this case next Thursday at 13 (local time) at the headquarters of Grandmothers, where a press conference with the presence of the recovered grandchild will be offered. "We appreciate the displays of affection and happiness for this task that has become collective," they added. Finally, they asked for "patience and prudence until Thursday", when they will be "able to provide all the information".

La organización de derechos humanos se encarga de restituir la identidad de aquellos bebés robados y entregados a otras familias durante la última dictadura militar.

Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, una histórica agrupación argentina de derechos humanos que restituye las identidades originales de los bebés robados por la última dictadura militar (1976-1983), informó este lunes 10 de junio que halló al nieto número 130. 

"Con felicidad anunciamos una nueva restitución de identidad", dice el comunicado emitido por esa organización de pañuelos blancos, símbolo que representa la lucha de mujeres que todavía buscan a sus familiares detenidos durante los tiempos del terrorismo de Estado.

En efecto, se trata de hijos de personas secuestradas durante el Gobierno de facto que nacieron en condiciones de detención, y luego fueron entregados por militares a otras familias adoptivas. Asimismo, los organismos de derechos humanos estiman que en ese período histórico desaparecieron 30.000 individuos por razones políticas.

Por lo pronto, todavía no se dio a conocer el nombre de esta persona, pero se sabe que "vive fuera de Capital Federal", es decir, la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Asimismo, se esperan conocer nuevos detalles sobre este caso el próximo jueves a las 13 (hora local) en la sede de Abuelas, donde se brindará una conferencia de prensa con la presencia del nieto recuperado. 

"Agradecemos las muestras de afecto y felicidad por esta tarea que se ha vuelto colectiva", añadieron. Por último, pidieron "paciencia y prudencia hasta el jueves", cuando estarán "en condiciones de brindar toda la información".
