In what way is the new employee at the VCA, as mentioned in written question No. 882, involved in the federal task force conducting investigations into historical adoption files? I refer to my written question No. 882 of 12 June 2025, which dealt with the investigation in countries of origin in cases of fraudulent adoptions and the appointment of a neutral partner. Date: October 16, 2025 No. 113 Research in countries of origin regarding fraudulent adoptions - New employee 1. How many files are involved? Can the Minister also break down the files by country? I quote the answer to sub-question 5: “The new employee at VCA will specifically focus on the initiation and follow-up of investigations into possible irregularities in adoption files. This includes, among other things: identifying potential investigation partners in the countries concerned, coordinating cooperation agreements with investigation partners, and following up on communication regarding the investigation results to the directly involved parties. We hope to be able to start the first investigations in the autumn of 2025.”
