Crowdfunding campaign to reunite Muniz Dekker with his biological family

Last week, a crowdfunding campaign was launched in Ten Boer to reunite Muniz Dekker with his biological family.

More than EUR 750 has now been raised of the intended EUR 5,000. The money must be used to pay for the travel and accommodation that will reunite the 29-year-old Muniz with his biological family, and to continue the search for his still missing brother. The search for his biological family started in the spring of 2021. 27 Years ago Muniz was given up for adoption from Brazil, and ended up in Eenrum. He now knows who his biological mother is, and how old he really is. He also discovered that he has two sisters who were also given up for adoption and who live in the Netherlands.

Hello my name is Muniz Dekker, 29 years old. Last year I started the search for my biological family. 27 years ago I was given up for adoption from Brazil and I ended up in Eenrum in Groningen. I now know which woman gave birth to me and how old I really am.

My search starts with vlogs on Youtube. As a result, I soon got in touch with people who knew how to make a difference in my search. By constantly looking for leads, I finally got in touch with my aunt in Brazil. She confirmed my story which seamlessly matched that of my biological mother. To my great surprise I now know that I come from a family of no fewer than nine children. I always thought I was alone in this world, and now I have an entire family! So unreal.

I also discovered that two of my sisters live in the Netherlands. To my great sadness I never knew this and unfortunately we have not been able to meet yet. That also takes time. A family of its own flesh and blood always seemed so unreal. Like it was a fantasy. But now that I've found my biological mother, it's a dream come true. I managed to get so close in my quest, but unfortunately due to setbacks, reality suddenly seems so far away. And painfully enough, I can't finance the trip and reunion with my biological family on my own.

That's why I want to ask you and you for help! Now I'm not just asking for a donation so that I can pay for a ticket and a short stay in Brazil. No, my search will continue for my missing brother, and I hope I can solve the last question marks in this success story.

The journey I want to make gives me the opportunity to discover the truth of my unknown identity with the missing puzzle pieces from my past. And add important documents to my file, Hermuniz Dosantos Araujo 31 Years, such as my original birth certificate.
