Wo sind die Findelbabys?

Neuer Streit zwischen Sozialsenator Dietrich Wersich (CDU) und dem Verein Sternipark: Diesmal geht es um vier Babys, die im Jahr 2008 in die Babyklappen des Vereins gelegt wurden. Seit Monaten versucht die Sozialbehörde herauszubekommen, was aus den Säuglingen geworden ist. Doch Sternipark-Geschäftsführerin Leila Moysich verweist auf ihre Schweigepflicht. Jetzt lässt Sozialsenator Dietrich Wersich (CDU) prüfen, ob der Verein sich strafbar macht.

"Wir wissen nicht, ob die vier Kinder aus Hamburg kommen oder nur hier abgegeben wurden", so der Senator, "wir wissen nicht einmal, ob es die Kinder überhaupt gibt." Auch in den Jahren zuvor sei es für die Behörde "schwierig" gewesen, den Weg der Findel-Babys nachzuvollziehen, erklärt Behördensprecherin Jasmin Eisenhut: "Sternipark zeigte sich nicht sehr kooperativ." Nur über andere Quellen, etwa Jugendämter, sei es gelungen, aufzuklären, wo die Kinder nach ihrem Aufenthalt bei Sternipark geblieben sind: "Aber über die Kinder aus dem Jahr 2008 wissen wir gar nichts."

We - Melanie and Urs are a married Swiss couple - unfortunately childless although it has been our greatest desire to create our own family. Alina wollte ein schönes Hochzeitsfest feiern. Sie sah sich schon im weißen Kleid mit ihrem Nicu tanzen, inmitten ihrer Verwandten und Freunde. Aber wer sollte das bezahlen? Sechsmal die Woche ging sie in die Matratzenfabrik, schnitt am Fließband Schaumstoff zurecht, für 70 Euro im Monat. Das reicht auch in Rumänien gerade mal fürs Essen - aber nicht für eine eigene Wohnung und schon gar nicht für ein Fest. Da erschien es ihr wie ein Wink des Schicksals, als eine Kollegin erzählte, dass sie durch eine Eizellenspende mehr verdienen könne als sonst in drei Monaten. "Was ist schon dabei, ob dein Ei im Tampon landet oder ob du es an Frauen verkaufst, die ein Kind wollen", ermunterte sie Alina. Die junge Frau ging schließlich mit in das Behandlungszentrum in Bukarest, an dessen Türschild "Global Art" stand. Doch dann wäre sie an der Eizellenspende fast gestorben. "All das, was mit mir passiert ist, geht mir nicht mehr aus dem Kopf. Ich bin seither eine andere", sagt sie.

A new organisation that claims it will cut the waiting times for people who want to adopt children from overseas has lodged a formal proposal with the Adoptions Board.

Spain has become Europe’s first country and the world’s second after the United States in adopting foreign children as marriage and birth rates in the southern European country are hitting all-time low.

The latest government statistics showed that foreign adoptees in 2004 reached 6,000 with a 40% increase compared to the previous year.

The statistics indicate that adoptive parents go abroad, bringing about 80 percent of the overall number of adopted children and then finalizing legal adoption requirements at home.

Hij staat er niet om bekend, justitieminister Hirsch Ballin, dat hij een onzuivere juridische redenering voor lief neemt om zichzelf te redden in een debat.

Door het nieuwe voorstel wordt, na een jarenlange strijd voor gelijkberechtiging, de laatste discriminerende bepaling voor homoseksuele mannen en vrouwen uit de Nederlandse wet geschrapt.
